HOW WE DO IT

Prioritize • Promote • Preserve • Protect • Provide

With a deliberate combination of comprehensive academic support, networking strategies, leadership training, financial literacy, college planning, and workforce development, The HOPE Initiative propels youth and young adults to and through college completion and into gainful employment.

The HOPE Initiative program model is designed to assist transition-age youth, educators, law enforcement, professional athletes, community organizations, and civic and business leaders in increasing school-to-employment opportunities for underserved populations.

Our model combines the key components of College & Workforce Development, Youth & Law Enforcement Interaction, Mentoring & Life Readiness, Job Shadowing & Experiential Learning, and Community Engagement to deliver programming in a workshop setting where participants go through a series of self-discovery and career assessments to better understand their attributes, interests, and preferences.

Our services are delivered by subject matter experts to help youth broaden their awareness of career opportunities and make more informed decisions about their individual pathway from classroom to career. Additionally, workshops include participation from former and current NFL & NBA players, police officers, community members, and business and industry leaders to increase access to college and workforce preparation and promote positive youth development.
